You inspired me to start selling on eBay again. I paid ten cents each (.40 invested) for these ornaments which I would normally sell in my booth (or a vintage FB group). They are up to $20 on auction with 3 more days to go and 14 watchers.

Eta: hubs said he thinks my mil has one of those clocks in the attic. She keeps everything.

The clock radio is in the garbage. Does not work. $1 gamble lost.

You could practically still just use it as retro decor anyway.

Thank you for the bump, that’s so sweet of you!

When I said the garage sales sucked today, I mean it was the worst than what I saw during covid.

My list of things I bought today.

Mint in package seat guard that goes under a child’s car seat - $3
Nintendo 64 w/ games - $10 (I need to test it)
A pack of harmonicas (maybe something) - $5
The Marucci bat - $5.

That’s it.

Do you ever find expensive watches at these things? I figure some people will find grandpa's old wrist or pocket watch not working and sell it for a few bucks

No big name stuff. I’ve bought midrange watches before, like $200-$500 range watches.

Just sold the bat for $50, making back all the money I spent today, plus puts me up about $15 on the day.

I did get a couple other things I forgot about.
I got a Starbucks Sumatra coffee mug for $1, sells for about $25. (I’ve learned that Starbucks coffee mugs can get $$$$.
Plus I got a brand new pair of boxing gloves and punching bag (not Everlast, but a big name, I forget). The bag is empty, you fill it with sand yourself. They were $10, sell for about $50

Well, piss! I was looking for it on eBay. I would have paid $125.

Did you sell the bat on FB? I found a saints, pelicans, lsu group but is there a better one? I found some vintage lsu lapel pins. Not the same ones that have sold on ebay.

That RC 10 could be worth a lot. I still have one from the ‘80s. Certain vintage gold tubs are hard to find. If it’s from the right era, could be worth $400+ just because of the gold body.

I sold it on a LSU collector’s club FB page I created years ago. I actually gave the page to someone else to Admin after I quit collecting. I still go there to sell my LSU finds, like those decanters I bought a month ago or so.

It must be a hidden group because I can't find it. (Edited email addy and contact info)

I have some items that I think collectors may be interested in.

I send the admin your email. They are a very small group, and very picky who they let in.

I am good with that. If he wants to email me and see the things I have I am also ok with that.
