There is certainly the talent the issue is these companies came in expecting to hire at rock bottom prices. The talent is just saying no thanks.

Can’t fault Gameloft. It was a horrible idea. We don’t have the talent to support the jobs and who the fricks wants to raise a family in that shite hole?
Well, they should have known that this state and NOLA is populated by dumbshites who are more interested in where to eat and be seen than actually working......I'll be though that they all voted for Latoya Cantrell though

Can’t fault Gameloft.
Sure you can. They've failed to keep up with other game developers and have been closing offices worldwide for a few years now.

The App Store has changed over the last few years and Gameloft has struggled to keep up with how things have become. Over the last few years, they’ve had cuts to various studios. After the sad situation at their NYC office, a report from gamesindustry.biz has some more bad news for Gameloft with cuts at their studio in Madrid.
Gamesindustry.biz has reported that after closing Gameloft’s New Orleans office earlier in February, Gameloft has closed the Madrid studio. Since 2015, Gameloft has cut down or closed studios in 5 other locations. Eurogamer Spain has confirmed to gamesindustry.biz that the studio will be closed and staff has been notified as of yesterday morning. This is after Gameloft Madrid fired 40% of its staff last year. The closing happened with no prior intimation to allow the staff to look elsewhere.

Like was said in this thread, this is a Gameloft issue, not a NOLA issue. They just aren't putting out games that people are buying anymore.
But of course the this bipolar board will totally trash NOLA as the problem only to masturbate over how great the city is next time anyone mentions a sporting event that might be held there.

They don't want to hire people, they want to claim they can't find qualified candidates and then get H1-B workers
Welcome to the Tech business, Louisiana.

I work for a tech company and we struggle mightily to find qualified candidates

What is the top rated business that has an office in New Orleans?

Per the article that you obviously didn’t read, Gameloft is closing offices all over the country. This has nothing to do with NOLA.
How dare you deprive the OT the opportunity to rag on New Orleans!
