Upstairs bathroom has the attachment to the existing seat.
Our spa room has a separate bidet like you see overseas. It’s nicer, but I really prefer one attached to the toilet.
Amazon has them pretty cheap.

I have traveled extensively in europe and never seen a bidet. We stay in airbnb's and often they are places where people live there but rent there apts out in the summer to make extra cash. The only bidet I have ever seen was in the old Baton Rouge Stanford Arms apts when I lived there. None of us had what it takes to try it though.

Just a PSA for those who seem to think that bidets stick something in your arse, there are two common types of bidets:
The second is common in Europe. The first seems to be more common everywhere else, likely because it’s newer, more complicated tech (the sprayer retracts when not in use) that came around long after Europe was a bit set in its ways on the subject.
Either way, it’s just water hitting your a-hole. It’s not any different than taking a handheld showerhead and cleaning your arse with it.

I got a Alpha JX awhile back, it’s always disappointing to poop somewhere without one.
