There's a ton of those weed pens in bars now. Lots of people sipping on one beer all night and constantly puffing on the vape pen.

These pen things are everywhere.

A new bill is being introduced only banning the drinks and shite that actually make you feel high, but creams and other “pain reliefs” will still be available, and that bill will almost certainly pass

That is going to be some horseshite and I will have to travel to Louisiana to stock up.

This is a good thing.

Theres a guy I heard interviewed nor long ago that theorizes that the drop in birth rate is partially tied to the drop in drinking. His idea is that with fewer people going out to social drinking events… bars and parties… mass crowds of guys and gals mixing socially is reduced eliminating chances to meet each other. He also pointed out that alcohol lowers inhibitions, making it easier for the opposite sexes to talk to each other. So less mixing, and less booze to encourage talking openly equal’s fewer babies.

Bars are ridiculously expensive now. Plus you need to uber. Plus everybody lives in places they didn’t grow up, so going to bar really “isn’t the same” in many cases.

My alcohol use is lower than it has ever been since adulthood. I cut out processed foods and most carbs in 2020 and ditched all plants in 2022. Those dietary changes eliminated all cravings. I don't crave sugar, alcohol or caffeine. Just give me a big fat medium rare ribeye steak and my needs are met.

A few weeks ago at a gathering a friend offered me a Modelo especial. I drank it and it was awesome. Still, I didn't crave another.

Have you seen the way 80% of this country looks? I doubt they give two shits about “health”.

The more weed is legalized or at least "decriminalized" the lower that number will get. That's why the alcohol lobbyists push against weed hard in DC

I'm 69. I have a few beers or a couple glasses of wine a week. Sometimes I have an old fashioned or straight up shot of bourbon, but forego the beers that week. But mostly, I don't drink hard alcohol any longer except for that rare old fashioned. It just fricks with my body the next day and I don't like how it feels.

Mrs. Cotten and I are early 30s. We haven't drank alc in over a year. We will drink a THC seltzer if we want anything. Those don't make me feel like total shite. Plus, the alcohol lobby is completely evil but that's a different topic.

How do y’all decide which one of y’all gets to be the Mrs?

Also people are dating differently. Use to meet at bars to socialize. Mostly online. Add in THC drinks and there’s your reason.

makes sense this new generation doesn't drink. Drinking wasn't made for women and children. They stay at their apartment on their cell phone and tik tok and never leave. Bunch of pussies

Yeah if you are 18 to 25ish the days of going to the bar and drinking all day during a ball game are over.
