Gaga is a serious talent and musician. I doubt she wants the garbage that would follow a political stunt, alienating a good portion of her fans.

I've seen her live, I have no problem admitting that she is an extremely talented writer and performer, however I was waiting for something big and felt like it didn't happen.

Did she leak it would go political or was it just idiots trying to make it political? I received a text earlier, from a friend who wanted to show me what someone who is an idiot, we both know, posted on FB. They were "encouraging" everyone to turn off their TV at halftime to "make a statement" because GaGa was going to do something anti-trump. People believe anything so I figured it was just some bullshite that people were spreading around.

Actually she she took a few jabs but they were subtle. Not really surprised most people didn't get it.
Fun Fact: Her mom was a cheerleader at WVU and her grandparents still live in WV. They are huge Steelers fans.

Excellent question and one I've never really put any thought into. In lieu making a WAG, I decided to look it up and apparently Miss GaGa did not get paid for her halftime performance last night, nor do any of the NFL halftime performers.
Representatives for Gaga and the NFL did not return requests for comment earlier this week, but the league’s policy has long been clear. “We do not pay the artists,” explained NFL spokesperson Joanna Hunter to me last year. “We cover expenses and production costs.”
