Tuck shirt in. Wear belt. Roll sleeves up.

I think it looks silly to not tuck a shirt in unless it's cut to be worn not tucked in.
If i'm not working or the rare instances i'm at a function fancy enough to involve shirt and tie, i'm not tucked in.

I'm going to be completely honest. I don't wear jeans.
ETA: And back to my point. There are buttondown shirts that are long because they are supposed to be tucked in. Not tucking them in looks kind of silly, imo. Why have the shirt almost past your zipper? It depends on the how the shirt is cut/made.
