Ironically, this is EXACTLY the argument I used years ago when trying to convince the board's owner that we ought to still be allowed to have arguments about religion! For years we had LONG arguments about faith, evolution, etc and those that enjoyed them happily took part in them. Thread titles were clear, and there was ZERO reason for anyone not interested in that topic to open the thread, right?
Yet occasionally some religious poster would roll in, despite the thread title, and talk about how OFFENDED they were at the mere thought of the thread existing at all.
And at the end of the day, those whiny bitched got their way, and a hugely fun, entertaining, and educational discussion was removed from the board.
So yes...if after having been banned for months for arguing this point some poster literally starts a thread like yours, you can be damned sure I'm going to click it and complain.
Unless you're a fan of glaring double standards?

Sir, I understand what you said and truly, I’m not trying to make people upset or troll anyone. There are people on this board that that want to seek God. I always see people saying how this board has gone downhill. Maybe it’s because discussion about God has been taken off.

But then there is commentary explaining further, in the OP. The fact is, when you mention God or Jesus, people fly into this blind emotion and they don’t read or listen.

I merely pointed out that these types of threads WERE BANNED by chicken to avoid that. Problem is, they do not get deleted or anchored immediately when they are started.
Look...I'm up for having these types of debates...but the board does not want them. What are you asking...for the faithful to ignore the owner's request and post them anyway, and nonbelievers should just not get involved and allow it without answering?

I wasn't talking about you. I'm saying that every time a thread like this pops up there is a group of grandstanding atheists who aren't interested in discussion, merely interested in mocking and belittling people they look down on. It's sad.

Can you link to the rule of not posting religious (I don’t like using that word) things? If there is a specific rule for that, I will stop and respect Mr. Chicken. I haven’t found any rules that say I can’t. Maybe I just haven’t looked hard enough.

FWIW, I disagree with you entirely. And honestly, you just got here. I'm not sure anyone cares what you think about how far the board has declined or whether or to you think you'll fix in by proselytizing.
Again...the reason you think this type of thing is ok is because it's YOUR faith doing it. were this an Orthodox Jew or a Muslim on a Hindu or God Forbid an atheist starting a thread talking about the value of a non-supernatural belief system you'd be up in arms about how your faith was being offended.

This is the double standard I'm talking about. If a Christian starts a thread like this, everyone is just supposed to ignore it or agree with it. If an atheist started a similar thread, it would be attacked mercilessly and folks like you would be calling them out as grandstanding. Where are the Christians calling this guy out?
Like I said...I really miss these types of discussions, but your own post shows why they were banned. It seems as though even the hint of push back from guys who disagree with the faithful is enough to be called sad.
