Not really watching all of that, but there are some insane Christian groups (like any other types of groups of people).

A friend of mine's sister who is a stay at home mom.. When her youngest kid started school she started doing some volunteer work. She volunteered at an abortion hotline that was ran by some Christian group.

She was telling me about it and how they are there for women who are considering abortion. And she was like "do you know that once you have an abortion you can't get pregnant again?". She goes on and tells us how they have information at their desk that to be sure to let woman know and that was one of the first things they suggested telling a woman because they want her to be completely informed.

So that Christian group wants to make sure people know that if they have an abortion, they can no longer get pregnant.

Just an example of some of the fricked up things religious groups will tell people in order to stop them from "sinning".. But what if that shite backfired? Girl decides to have the abortion and then thinks she is good to go.. Can't get knocked up again... 5 months later.. She finds out she is pregnant and is back to square one.

You are absolutely right. I mean, I’ve heard of people getting abortions multiple time so, if they say, “ you can’t get pregnant again if you have an abortion,” it’s simply a lie. Christians aren’t supposed to lie. There a weeds amoung the harvest.

And you expect your email discussion to be public knowledge and people should know not to start a thread like this?

Best I could find. Thread from November 2012. LINK

Previous to this, I'd been involved in a thread titled "Atheists are marching to New Orleans" here LINK from July 2012.

As you can see from context clues, everyone involved in the November thread is aware of the "rule." In fact, the rule had already been established by this thread and many people, Wiki specifically, keeps referencing it. Problem is, it was already being enforced only one sidedly. I reference on this page about 3/4 the way down having been in TO for a bit for arguing over the rule! LINK

I got banned after this thread for asking why. I've basically been asking for clarification on it since that very thread!

And yes...I had some extra time and I was curious! Looking back over those made me miss those threads...

Good Lord you’re such a liar. I couldn’t care less about all the bickering, but you sir are an insufferable douche and none of anything you ever post has one iota of truth to it. Please go away

The atheists that do this are pathetic. It’s unbelievable how upset they get over something they claim doesn’t exist in the first place. It would be like me getting upset over someone insisting that Santa is real.

I can not subscribe to this. Call me what you want, but how can you say this is what is right when there are other religions who think their way, which is different from this, is the right way?

Why would a God punish people because they were raised believing something else?

In a vacuum I'd agree. Anyone who actually gets mad about what someone else believes in the privacy of their own home seems like a busy-body to me. Thing is, most atheists aren't going to people's homes to tell them they need to convert, are they? Most times it's a push back to an active move in the public sphere by the religious...which then actually DOES effect the nonbeliever, be it laws, or policies, etc. Not engaging with that belief simply because you don't believe in it is no longer an option when the believers begin dictating the world in which you live.

Since I'm being nostalgic...here's and old video which addresses your point perfectly.

I don’t have the answer to this. Maybe I’ll get more clarity, later in my journey. I can only speak my testimony and how Jesus has changed my life. I was a prisoner and feel as if I’ve been set free. I’ve been studying the Bible and praying. I’m still young in my walk with God. Sorry, I don’t want to tell you something if I don’t know.

this is quite incorrect

In fact, it is pretty scary that a Christian would be so intolerant

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Mocking does not mean they are upset. I can think your beliefs are ridiculous without being upset about them.
