FYI: "So" Brooks Brothers Is "About a Week Behind"

Warning to anyone with or contemplating a Brooks Brothers order for Christmas.
Ordered a Filson backpack as a birthday gift for this coming weekend on Brooks Brothers' website on 4 December.
Opted for Standard Shipping (5-7 Business Days).
That would mean the order would be delivered (at worst) on 13 December (today).
Called today as I haven't received a Shipment Notice from BB and was on hold for 27 minutes.
Was then told that the order was being pulled off the shelf in their Palm Beach retail location today and would be delivered to me by next Monday.
The associate was polite but I thought I detected a IDGAF attitude lurking close underneath.
"We are about a week late on everything."
Consider yourself warned/First World Problem.

I was very pleasant.
Also, as to the genesis of this post, I've been dealing with Brooks Brothers for over thirty years.
This is the first hiccup I've ever had with them, they've always met or exceeded my expectations.

They didn’t have this specific item.
Filson is currently marketing it only through Brooks Brothers.
Filson doesn’t offer it in their own Seattle store.
(At least last month they didn’t.)
