Full implementation of fast food self order kiosks will suck

Witnessed this at McD's in the Detroit airport yesterday. It took forever for some of the idiots there to figure out how to work the machine to place their order. Just think about how dumb the average person is. A large percentage of the population can barely navigate their way through the menus on an ATM machine in a timely manner. When these things go live everywhere it will be a disaster.

I think this says more about the population than it does about the kiosk.

This.
Also get the app and not deal with any of it.

I’m sure that there will be a corresponding app you can use that will do the job a lot simpler and just bill your card on file.

There will be some growing pains but McD customers are going to represent the left side of the bell curve.

In Baton Rouge every time I go I’m the only one that she’s the kiosk to order. It’s a breeze. When everyone has to use it?? Meh…

Should bring prices down by a few bucks. You'd think at least.

Every time you use it won't be the first time you use it.

I can't wait for the kiosks to demand a livable wage in Manhattan

Sam’s had self order kiosks for awhile. It was a disaster for boomers like me.I got so frustrated I just skipped my usual hotdog on my monthly trip to Sam’s.
I stood by and watched one day,old people having same trouble I did.
They took them out after a couple months.

Everything will be fine when they reach the level of technology we see in Idiocracy.

The average adult reads on a 7th grade level. It will indeed be a shite show. Avoid masses of people.

Not if some smart entrepreneur open up a hamburger stand with people working the counter.
