Unless you are suggesting that they will also search everyone entering the airport, even ones just picking up family or seeing them off, why the hell would they say no guns in checked luggage? It wouldn't solve any issue (I'm not saying you are advocating for this).
No, it wouldn't solve anything, but it would make some people (the ones who dont like guns) feel better.

If its proven that this guy is just an ex military-mental nutcase that went off the rails, I will gladly admit that I was wrong. But given that nothing in this whole timeline of events seems to "add up," I definitely think there's more to the story.
Yeah, you might just want to go ahead and do that there. The guy went coocoo for cocoa puffs. It happens. I know you want to uncover a conspiracy where Obama personally used mind control to make this guy join ISIS but this dude is just nuts.
If anything this is a slam on our mental health system. The guy has been mentally unraveling for years by all accounts. He should have been committed, and not just for a 48 hour hold. Instead, knowing he was not even close to being in his right mind, he was let out.
What a surprise that it ended badly.

one guy tries to light C4 in a shoe, now we all have to take shoes off in security. One guy tries to hide a shank in a belt, now we all have to take our belts off.
One guy loads a gun in baggage, and now we all will at least not be allowed to fly with ammo.
Though if I read this right, he only had the gun in his luggage, that should have been a red flag.

It's called MKULTRA. CIA mind control. Look it up. They create sleepers who can literally be triggered into action by one word. Pretty creepy stuff. Done by directly affecting the subconscious by hypnosis and suggestion.

What I have come to understand is that he is a whitish Mexican who lived in Arkansas and that the FBI was aware this guy had voices in his head telling him to join ISIS.
Just another day at the office for those on the lunatic fringe of apocalyptic religion.

Is there any legit info on this dude? Motive? Etc... were the people killed just random or specifically targeted.

Not necessarily. Maybe he has a little carryon with all other shite.

My guess is most people have never heard of MK ultra, or they refuse to believe our government is capable of something like that.
This sounds like an MK ultra experiment gone bad.
I doubt we get any honest answers.

Another case of a deranged ex soldier going nuts and killing people. Between them and isis I don't know who's worse.

How many times does the FBI get to drop the ball on these cases before they're held accountable? They knew ahead of time about the attackers in San Bernardino, Boston, Orlando, NY/ NJ, Ft Hood, Ft Lauderdale, just to name a few. And they did absolutely NOTHING every single time.
How many more would it take for you to start wondering WHY they did nothing? Or WHO decided to do nothing? Or what policy prevented them from acting?

This is becoming too common in westernmost society. While a border with Mexico may be too unpredictable, borders set up the way Isreal and China have erupted them seem logical and do able.

The great misconceptions in U.S. American society is that the FBI is some kind of "know it all". The. FBI is simply a bunch of federal police who get their intelligence from the NSA who delivers it to the CIA who reluctantly delivers it down to the FBI.

What could they do? A crazy guy busts into a field office talking gibberish. He says ISIS but is clearly wacko. They did take the guy to a hospital. What you are proposing would involve a G-man following every psych patient who mentioned "bomb, isis, or Middle East" in their ramblings. Sounds like this may have been a problem with the psych healthcare system and plain old non compliance with medication. Happens all the fricking time.
Most people just stay crazy and roam the streets when they get off meds. But some shoot up schools or theaters or night clubs or airports now.

Ummm. Maybe put him on the no fly list. Especially while checking a firearm and ammo.

Why do you hate veterans?
What you are talking about brushes up against gun reform.
