Other reports saying he joined AK National guard in early 2016 and was discharged 8 months later... which, if true, would likely mean that he never went to Iraq...
This whole situation- all the contradictory reports, odd pictures & various 'crime scene' videos from the airport --DOES NOT pass the smell test.

I though I just heard on TV that he was crazy and believed the US government hacked into his mind and forced him to watch ISIS videos online

Typical MSM bullshite. Throwing shite at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Did they actually alter the skin tone in the photo to make him appear white?
No they didn't. That article was based off of one tweet which has been deleted. A tweet by a blogger for that website. If they actually did that someone else would surely have picked up on it
The only other place I saw it was on r/thedonald, and it looks like the OP was deleted. I couldn't find the picture on CNN's twitter or website, and none of the pictures were a screen shot of CNN.
For as much as the far right loves to bitch about fake news, they sure don't mind sharing their own.

Meh. In the last few years most of these stories start out like this. People spread bullshite in the minutes after the crime and people report it all day as facts.
Just like there is always reports of more than one shooter when there is almost never really one.
You can't expect all of the answers within hours.

Some reports say he told FBI in AK that he "was being forced to fight for ISIS"
CNN says he told FBI that "the voices in his head were telling him to join ISIS."
The truth is usually closer to being the direct opposite of what CNN reports.

CNN (TV) just reported he was known to the FBI. And she said something about voices in his head to join ISIS. He told someone that. But Burnett said they do not yet know how or why he was known to the FBI

This always happens. Everyone is rushing to be the first that no one gets it right. As always, wait until the Police release their statements on what happened.

So at no point did the FBI think it might be a good idea to watch this guy, or put him on the no fly/buy guns list? And this is the agency were entrusting an investigation of Russia to?

I'm more interested to find out if they followed up anything he told them. You'd think he would have given them information that could prompt action against those trying to coerce him. Absent of that they probably just wrote him off and closed the file.

What would you have them do in a situation like this?

And why would you immediately believe it's real?
Because you're afraid of a crisis of your existence?
This has the same symptoms as all the other false-flag shootings. It's remarkable that they can keep fooling enough people.
Definitely the jews.

Considering they were running away with the passengers as the real police moved in, I'd say they proved how useless they are.

I agree- but in situations like these, police usually hand over the investigation to the Feds. The same Feds, who in case after case like this involving 'possible' ties to ISIS and terrorism (see San Bernardino, Orlando, Boston, etc) had prior knowledge of or had interaction with each of the suspects for one reason or another and did nothing. Yet we never hear WHY nothing was done....
And when you take into consideration how politicized the FBI has become under the Obama administration, coupled with the numerous coverups throughout other federal gov departments, including the FBI, it's reasonable to suspect something is......amiss.
ETA: If it were true that someone or some group within the government/ military was pressuring him or forcing him or trying to convince him or whatever, to join ISIS; do you think they would ever confirm it publicly?!

Yeah, I know they are probably a bunch of morons and worthless in general, but I was responding to this quote....

This isn't the first time the FBI said they had Intel on a person after an act of violence. Sometimes I think they release that just to save face. Especially in the wake of the backing of the Russian Election hacking allegations.
