Seems like there were alot of steps between a dumb joke comment and plane deboards/arrest.

not a whole lot, I’ve had to divert to ABQ on a flight from SFO-DFW because someone had written a note saying there was a bomb on board and the guy who it was found on kept trying to be a smart arse and make jokes about it, that was a looooong night

Bitch just shut the frick up and accept the instructions. The chances of you even having to do anything are minimal.

It's not like she is going to follow the instructions in the event an emergency happened anyway. How many of you would be waiting around for that lady to help you if there was an emergency.

Just trying to be difficult. It's her only point.

I think a bomb threat or comment is understandably going to be taken much differently than a joke about the exit seat.

I’m not defending the woman who was removed by the way, she is obviously the first (and possibly only) person to blame.

Maybe in your circle but not everywhere. There are still some good people out here. they are getting harder and harder to find but they are out there.

Unfortunately, they are not seen over the social media contestants of today.

Sounds like Betty White attendant was racist before the camera started which makes everything warranted.

It’s a shame. I’m sure alll the people on that flight had important board meetings to get to.

I like that she called her lawyer. I’m sure the lawyer in the neighborhood shopping center will crush Frontier’s lawyers.

Plot twist, her and Frontier share the same lawyer. His office is sandwiched in between a Roses and Radio Shack in Plaquemine.

Yeah American has figured out how to be worse than the discount airlines without being a discount airline.

There is an awful lot of truth in that....used to fly US Airways from Charlotte to Amsterdam and Frankfurt regularly....it was pretty much the same experience as a Frontier flight from Atlanta to Vegas except longer. Surprisingly there are a lot of TRASHY Europeans LOL.....

I flew AA last year and a black grandma had her 2 year old grand baby in her lap and the babies feet were touching me the whole flight.

I flew from London to Atlanta in 1996 on a British Airways Flight and a young couple from London were on the same row as me and their baby was on their lap. I was very put out when they sat down but it was not a horrible experience....the baby got fussy of course but I wasn't in a murderous rage when we arrived. Very nice couple.

I’m amazed at the people flying these days. I only do it a handful of times per year because it is so expensive, but it seems like people of all economic backgrounds are always flying to Vegas and such.
This amazes me too. And more than just flying. Some of the people I see I have trouble understanding how they’re affording the stuff they’re doing and the things they’re buying.

Planes are the ultimate fafo

I get that, but can someone explain why they de-boarded the entire plane and not just this a-hole lady causing trouble? Seems shortsighted to inconvenience everyone onboard when they could just remove this lady and be on their way.

Airlines like Spirit or Frontier have some dirt cheap flights. You won't see this nonsense happening on Delta

I don’t think she was removed because of a joke, she was removed because of how she treated the flight attendants after she made her joke.

To make a point. Any funny business is not allowed here. This serves two purposes.

1. Passengers will see this and understand that their behavior will be scrutinized and planes will be de-boarded if anyone on staff feels it's necessary.

2. People see this and police passengers they might see being silly beforehand because they've already seen that business not like that is not allowed on an airplane.

I understand flying is safe, but it becomes a lot less safe when the airplane turns into a greyhound bus. We are all going in the sky, and if things go haywire everyone likely dies. It's a pretty serious endeavor.
