The OT needs to know what happened in 1996!!!

The long and short of it is I really have no need nor desire to get on an airplane for travel.
The last flight I took was in 96 to a fishing camp on Lake Kabetogama in International Falls, MN. Great time and Walleye are far superior food than speckled trout but that’s for another board.
Anyways I’ve spend my fair share of time on flights around the world for military, work and play and just decided to shut it down 28 years ago. In all my time prior to I never remember even remotely seeing behavior like what is reported today on planes. Usually everyone was just drinking and having a good time and trying to hook up with a stewardess. Yea back then they weren’t called flight attendants and they were all women. The kind without a man junk. Days gone by I guess.

Few things.

1. When dlight attendants ask to help them, they mean to open the door over the wing....not carry people from the back of the plan out to safety.

2. Even if assigned seating the flight attendants couls have asked other passengers to swap seats in order to get the plane to leave (i would suspect that this happened and that lady refused to move and give up the leg room that comes with those seats.

3. Thatvis a great way to be put on a list to never fly again.

If the flight attendant hadn’t been a woman of color Norah O’Donnell and the CBS Evening News would have led with it as an example of white supremacy. And, I’m not being facetious.

I don’t understand why people can’t just follow rules vs making everything about themselves

get that, but can someone explain why they de-boarded the entire plane and not just this a-hole lady causing trouble? Seems shortsighted to inconvenience everyone onboard when they could just remove this lady and be on their w

Liability. In the event it becomes physical the airline doesn’t want to be on the hook for additional lawsuits from passengers who may be hit in the fray. Airlines have this in their policy so they can’t be sued when they deboard you when someone breaches passenger policy.

My exact thoughts. I'd probably get arrested also.
You'd probably do what everyone else did... stand and watch
