Chik fil A managers should make that because that chain is run like a machine. No matter what city or state I've been to one in, they're fast and friendly. That chain has their shite together from top to bottom.
My pleasure..

In-N-Out is the GOAT fast food chain. Too bad they are only out west.

160k seems pretty fricking good, but fast food management sucks. Long hours...60-70+ hours a week, working 15 hour days until 2am then having to be back at work 6-7 hours later. High turnover and frequently dealing with the BS that comes with fast food employees. I know 2 people who used to manage fast food restaurants and it seemed like that job sucked the life out of them.

How many hours a week are we talking?
80?
For some quick math, if you get paid $32/hr plus 1.5X over time, and you work 80 hours/ week, that would equate to about $160 k/ year

INO is the CFA of hamburgers. They run a tight ship... simple menu, quality product, and quick service.
They also have Bible verses on the bottom of their cups.
Whataburger is better but much less consistent.

how far does $160K go in California?
I'm assuming it's like making $60k in Louisiana
I was curious so looked at NerdWallet's calculator, and they estimate a 33% difference between San Diego and NOLA. Add maybe an extra 10% for taxes and miscellaneous, and it would be like 90k.
But then you get to live in SD. So the premium may actually be worth it.

The smart ones in the industry understand quality of life. Myself and my assistants all work 50-55 hrs per week with pay being very competitive.

It is like $70k or $80k depending on where you live in California.
It depends on what chain you work for in mgmt.
I have three friends that worked their way up working for a McDonald’s franchise. One now owns a franchise and the other two started their own convience store / small cafe with wine, plate lunches, sell regular convience store stuff, and fuel.
They make good money you just have to like the businesses to stay in it.

I don’t believe it.
Why would you pay 160 when you could get a line of competent people ready to sign up for 90, 80, 70?
The only way I could see this is through production bonuses so if you are a rock star manager at a rock star location doing 10m a year, you can hit 160.
And as others said... working 80 hours a week.

Uh yeah. That's how Walmart managers make similar money too.
