Every bar allows it and bars are the only game in town when you are in college. If anyone is old enough to remember, smoking used to be allowed everywhere. Malls, public places, LSU Union, Superdome, PMAC...etc. Sometimes we grow as a society when we recognize something is wrong and we correct it.

That's why I don't go to bars.

I hate, in no particular order, drunks and smokers.

I don’t smoke and don’t care for the smell but I’m fortunately not gay enough to not go to a place of entertainment due to some smokers. You frickers that start coughing and choking on your boyfriend’s cum every time somebody lights up a cig are ridiculous. That last sentence was the most retarded sentence I’ve ever typed but I’ll leave it, I’m just surprised at all the “men” posting in here that go through life getting bitch slapped on a daily basis, again I don’t smoke either.

ETA: All the frickers that are now saying they are gonna start going all of a sudden, Lying sack of shites

. But this argument breaks down immediately because the smoker eliminates places the non-smoker can go because of their choice. Not so for the non-smoker.

Your argument breaks down because the matter should have absolutely nothing to do with a smoker's or a non-smoker's choices or rights. This should be strictly a private property rights matter and it should be up to the proprietor whether he or she allows smoking in the establishment. My feelings as a non-smoker should be completely irrelevant. Private property rights should be (but, unfortunately, aren't) one of the rights that Trump almost any other in this country.

Amazes me how quickly people are willing to take someone else's rights away when those rights become inconvenient to themselves.

There's no arguing with someone who wants it to remain legal to smoke indoors. They're only worried about losing a right, no matter how negatively it affects everyone else. IMO it is a public health issue and should never have been allowed indoors, especially in restaurants.

I generally avoid smoky bars these days, as most people should.

Drunks and smokers are like my two favorite things. I'll still be smoking Winstons on patios and blowing it yalls way when y'all step out the door

If non-smokers stopped going to bars, would bars alter their accomodations?

It is more than inconvenient. If it just smelled bad that is one thing....but the health issues surrounding it make it way more than that and you know that.

Many studies show a connection.

Were these studies published by the global warming people?

How many diesel exhaust fumes is that poor worker inhaling on the bus ride there vs. a few whiffs of secondhand smoke?

And why is vaping always included in this? How is secondhand water vapor a risk?

not Having immediate access to refueling your g6 is a problem that doesn’t disproportionately affect poor and minorities!!!

Smoking bans are dumb. I’m all for letting stupid people kill themselves sooner rather than later. But second hand smoke is real and does kill a frick ton of people

Did you read that in a critical peer reviewed study or is it something you just heard as ‘common knowledge’?

What about the plastic fumes you are breathing in daily from your car’s ventilation system? Are these more or less harmful than a whiff of secondhand smoke?
