"A friend of mine who works for the government in coastal Mississippi told me that a barge from west Africa offloaded their crew in Gulfport area, and she went thru emergency Ebola training today and they basically said that these crew members were not detained, are out in public and the gov employees were all instructed to get food and water supplies for two weeks, gallon of water per person per day. Thought I would pass along since I'm sure whenever this gets "discovered" everyone will flip their shite"

My response was "barges" don't travel from Africa. She changed that to "ship" but remaining details were unchanged.

Time for the OT detectives to do some work.

According to Facebook it's all airborne too. I told people at work to quit shaking hands and you'll never get infected.

So the gist of this is that some government employees let some Ebola patients walk around Gulfport while they stocked up on supplies but haven't told anyone about it?

Is your friend from Mississippi? This sounds like some sort of Gulfport rumor.

Your friend misspelled "coastal". Her argument is invalid.

Guess I was wrong about the barges. I was thinking more on the lines of barges seen on rivers or intercostal waterway.

Barges travel to and from Africa all the time. As well as ships and boats.

Is a barge not a ship? Is a boat a ship?
