Is the friend devastated? Makes you wonder how happy they actually were if she wanted out like that
People just don’t honor marriage anymore. The story in OP (other than marriage duration) seems more common now than actually staying together. No wonder younger people are avoiding marriage in record numbers.
This post brought to you by a dude whose wife left and divorced him after 24 years of marriage.

Sometimes as a sensitive young man I wonder if reading a forum for bored plant workers and lonely oilfield workers is good for my perception of women
This is legitimately one of the funniest things I’ve ever read on here

Guys only make $75K, put on an extra 40-50lbs and wonder why their women want to level up.

As an old oil field worker, its easy being single. But it is lonely.

I only watched a minute of that, but it's amazing. Women are f-ing crazy. They can just anytime claim they are not being heard or understood or that there is some vague communication gap and it's curtains.

Friend of mine married >35 years, and his wife leaves him for another man.
I used to think this was just a thing for women in their 20s-early 40s but this thread has a lot of other stories saying otherwise
What’s the endgame of these women? I get the taking half of your shite part but do they really think the grass is just greener? I would imagine most find that’s not the case once they do it

That video just proves what I learned years ago...if you are always a good guy your woman will feel like she's missing something. You have to show her the beast every so often to keep her intrigued.

7 weeks short of 40 years. One friend with heart problems
Another 31 years. Guy had a stroke gave his X everything and she freaked him over in the middle of recover less than 6 months after stroke.
Guys - prenup or F them. In both cases, it was cheaper to pay a prostitute for the 1st ten years of marriage before menopause hit early.

Around one-third of people who have affairs report that the affair partner was a coworker. People spend 40+ hours per week together, sharing challenges and accomplishments that create emotional bonds. Also, frequent interaction increases familiarity and attraction and then if they travel together, or take a lunch together, those are more moments. And if one spouse is staying "after work" for after-hours projects -- those are creating additional opportunities.
i mean when you say 33% are co-workers...co-workers are less likely than someone that isn't a coworker ..
but perhaps you could argue these are more personal vs physical aspects of cheating? wonder what the other categories of the %s are

Who would want to bang an old broad from the Villages ? Hooking up with a post-menopausal old lady sounds miserable .
