She’ll either be super pissed about it and refuse to use it or use it, drop the 35 and look for a Jody or new husband. Either way, if he likes her at all this is lose lose. If he wants a divorce or hates having sex more than twice a year this is definitely the way to go!!

Decent gamble really, you have far better odds with a Peloton than some other equipment, as they're certainly suburban mom status symbols

Bold move. But fortune sometimes favors the bold.
Let's do a risk/reward analysis:
1. Is there legitimate concern that she will leave him because of this? If so, this is a VERY bold move. If not, the risk decreases significantly because....
2. If she doesn't use it then (aside from wasting $2k) he's left in the same position he was in before the purchase, living with a fat wife. If she isn't going to leave him and he can financially withstand a $2k dollar bad investment, then it's not that bad. But, .....
3. If she likes it and loses the weight, then it's a big payoff until.....
4. She gets back to fighting weight and the "old her" now wants some "new cock"

Kind of depends on a few things.
If she is 5’, 35 pounds over his ideal weight for her is pretty damn significant.
If she is 5’8” or so, it may just be the difference looking OK in clothes and looking good in a bikini.

Maybe ole baw is shrewder than we think, maybe he’s leasing/borrowing the thing to see her reaction, get her fat arse in shape or get out, if she gets in shape,fine, if she bolts, he was just concerned about her health, maybe court goes easy on the alimony and he can start trotting in dime pieces on the reg?
