That’s the turd bosses that spent their holidays thinking about work and worrying because people are off

They are the ones that expect people to show up after the holidays and really be grinding when the truth is no one is gonna be getting much done till Wednesday or Thursday

For more than 20 years work email (with no requirement to have mobile access to) and/or work only chat apps (enterprise Skype, then Teams) was the only communication tools we used.

A couple of years ago my most recent previous team decided to do WhatsApp. I declined to participate.

Now my current team (all remote) has decided to all share out personal mobile phone numbers and participate in a group chat to keep us all up to date when some one is running late, has to step out, or is having a feelz and I have gotten roped into this shite show.

I fricking hate it!

Email him back that you'll be spending New Years Night in your motorhome in the company parking lot .

You never have to take emails like this seriously if you work for the government

Sounds like you need to take a 30,000 ft view of all the egresses and get all hands on deck for synergies to evaluate the logarithms for next week’s vision board of tasks.

The amount of bad leaders in business is astounding! My sort of boss is a friend and a good guy but absolutely clueless about business. It has become comical around the office but it is what it is.

We just fired our marketing director who was making like $180k a year plus 30% annual bonus because she was told to knock off the lavish spending on her P Card. They told her like 4 times and the idiot didn’t listen. People in corporate America are so dumb. Lost her job over expensive meals, airline tickets, hotel rooms and booze

You need to establish dominance.

1 Reply all
2 Put a bow on your sack and take a picture
3 attach to email
4 add “deez nuts” to email body
5 send and wait for your promotion

Boss sends email last night expressing the importance of a ""Fast Start"" to the New Year next week and he lists all that we must get done next week. Thanks boss for the reminder that next week is fast approaching. Can't wait!

Be that person to show up Monday morning Jan. 1st, 2024 for work.

Go to bed at 10 pm and miss out on all the fun for that “fast start” to the new year.

Meanwhile, your boss will be balls deep in some hooker and loaded on all kinds of drugs and alcohol at midnight on New Year Eve all expenses paid by his corporate credit card. So he expects your fast start to cover his NYE and Christmas shenanigans.

What a way to ruin a long holiday weekend. I'm sure everyone at work already knows what he's saying.

The exact reason I take off the week after Christmas. This past week at work is always awesome. The majority of leadership is out. I will be sipping coffee Tuesday morning when all the ball busting will be taking place. Happy New Year.

Boss doesn’t want anyone relaxing on their holiday. He wants them getting motivated for extra hard work next week. Sounds like a tool.

Don't be so sure of this.

Many companies, small, medium, or large, have plenty of bad people "leading" their companies.
