Regarding the quote; you really think Donald Trump brings his shopping cart back after unloading his groceries?

Guarantee you he just leaves them in the parking lot and he is the most successful icon of modern times.

This is why I prefer shopping at Aldi. One of the little things I missed about Germany until I found Aldi in the US. That and drivers using left lane to.pass then rapidly get back over.

I'm always shocked at the number of people that spit gum out on sidewalk/parking lot. I even see it more often now at work on a military base in our own parking structure.

there is a distance cutoff for cart returns

If I am WAY out in a parking lot and the store doesn’t have a return nearby - I don’t return my cart as I know someone else is getting paid to do it

If there is a cart return in the respectable vicinity, I’ll return it no problem

I park my Mercedes as far away from other cars when I grocery shop.

And leave the cart there when I’m done.

Grocery stores pay people to collect the buggies. I’m technically a ‘job creator’. You’re welcome.

The small store by my house always has more employees then they need and some of the guys will go out anytime they see 1 cart in the lot. They'd get more of my business if they had a better produce section.

Baw, you shop at the Rouses by Coquille in Covington?

my grandmother always said you can tell someone's character by how they treat the help. i.e. waitress, cashier, etc.

I went to lunch with a couple of guys about a week ago, neither one looked at the waitress when they ordered, like she was beneath them. Their bill was just under $50, one gave the other cash then left, the other then paid with cash and left no tip. I had already paid with a card, but threw down the cash I had on me to at least tip a little more. But it was only 6 bucks, so still a shitty tip.

Couple of days later I look at my transactions and the waitress apparently wrote a 1 in front of my tip because the charge was $10 more than it should have been. I wasn't even mad.

People who park right in front of the store and wait while some lazy arse runs inside to buy a few items

Just before Covid, when the fast food joints were still open for people to go in and order, I saw a huge uptick in cars parked right in front of the entrance next to the curb waiting for a lazy assed person to go in and get food to go. It was happening everywhere, and pretty much became a phenomenon almost overnight.

How many "successful people" use a grocery cart? I don't know one "successful person" who price shops for gas.

Some poor kids job relies on people leaving their carts out. When I was young, the bagboy would push your cart out and unload your groceries. Whens the last time you saw that?
