My life is starting to look better everyday. Smoking joes is now healthy and I still don't have to worry about a wife/ex-wife.

Another possibility for low positives among smokers - most smokers would have to cough up a lung before they admit anything that could lead to hospitalization.

Reminds me of some movie I saw as a kid in 80s/early 90s where everyone in the future had to wear masks unless they were smoking because the unfiltered air was toxic. I can't remember the movie though. Any one else remember something like this?

There was a paper that came out a few weeks ago. The nicotine protects against the infection.

I don’t know the mechanism.

Surprisingly enough, nicotine itself has a lot of neurocognitive advantages - it's just that the delivery mechanism of tobacco causes more damage than what it brings to the table.

I keep up with nootropics and a lot of folks buy patches for the boost.

Millennium?

Cheryl Ladd's character had to smoke cigarette constantly because she came from the future where the air was toxic.

That's dumb. If anything it's the shite in smoker's lungs preventing the proteins from attaching to nodes.

I don't think it was Millennium but that's the only lead I could find a Google search.

So wait, cigarettes really are good for you after all? Do they still sell the unfiltered Lucky's?

PROTIP: EVERY cigarette is unfiltered if you tear the filter off.
