That’s probably any city that has one of these progressive Dems in charge. The problem is the percentage of the population that falls into that category.

Well if the random black guy that used to live in NOLA says so

Too bad I feel it’s just going to fall on deaf ears and may be a little too late.
All the evidence of that fact is right there in front of your face, yet you still hold on to some misguided “hope”.

She is the mayor and has been for the past 4 years. There’s no “will be”

Ok, so what percentage is that? 30%? Is it enough to overcome the uneducated black, white, and other people, white libtards, and those who are genuinely clueless and will vote for Toya due to “familiarity”?

And Cantrell, and the majority of the city, says "I don't give a frick".

City’s better than ever
I don’t know where Ever is but I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live there.
New Orleans and California are similar in that there’s a “well, where are you going to move to and get the same vibe?” The N.O. politicians use their influence to line their pockets and those of their friends and relatives. They get angry and indignant when there are attempts to hold them accountable. Productive citizens know the big get over and learned decades ago that nothing would change it. It’s easier to have a “let the hood times roll” attitude, satirize the living conditions, and save your money for private schooling.
There hasn’t been a concerted effort to entice the tax base to move back but now that same attitude is being directed at tourists. Shootings on Bourbon are becoming more common but so what? There are more tourists where those came from and locals don’t go to Bourbon St. after 5:00pm anyway.
Let the good times roll, baby!

Cantrell is going to tout her pandemic response, which gets high ratings from potential voters.
She will also note how much infrastructure repair is going on, which is a lot.
Finally, she just put out a plan to get crime under control which is littered with words like "investment" and "community". Hell, she bought into the barber/hairdresser intervention shite and is giving them money. This plan will probably fail, but not before voting in November.
So those are the three positives that she will scream from the heavens. All the negatives will be blamed on covid or her predecessors.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell is heading into her fall re-election campaign with a 62% approval rating, according to a recent poll that measured residents views on crime and taxpayer priorities.
If that number is a truly representative polling sample, then NOLA residents are even dumber than I thought

Unfortunately, they are way outnumbered in terms of votes.
