I always assumed he fed her some drugs so he could bang her and she OD'd so he panicked and dumped her body.
I could see that happening easily even if she was down to snort or take whatever he was giving her.

Basically what he admitted to on Peter de Vries undercover show back in 2008. Peter hired some fake drug dealer, who somehow became friends with Joran. Got him high which led him to say this.
