Johnny Carson told my favorite Lincoln in a theater joke:

"I remember back in Nebraska I dated a girl who was voted Miss Lincoln. Because every guy took a shot at her in the balcony."

One of my favorites of his roles is being on the show Review on Comedy Central. The review of that episode is what’s it like to go to space, and Forrest brings his former father in law (Willard) who is a space freak with him. Fred forgets to buckle in and dies on launch because of it. When they get back:

Forrest: I've got some good news and some bad news"
*Drags out Suzanne's father's body*
Suzanne: You killed my father in space! So what's the good news?!
Forrest: Space was amazing.
Suzanne: You son of a bitch!

His film debut was in the 1967 exploitation film Teenage Mother. Willard later reported that the audience at one screening of the film booed when his character interrupted an attempted sexual assault of the female lead character.

It wasn't on purpose but I listen to Pardon my Take with Big Cat and PFT and they had him on as a guest.
