Anyone in the Lafayette/Broussard/Youngsville area remember that severe weather that came in early May? Never seen weather that intense. I’m not sweating this potential Cat 2 that will move swiftly through.

I know it's not very scientific but if you pull up the radar map on the weather channel app they show the cone in pink and the center of the cone goes just east of Lafayette and as of the 7:00 a.m. update New Orleans was just barely inside the cone and at the 10:00 a.m. update the cone has shifted slightly West where is the pink area of the cone just barely goes over New Orleans.

How bad do you think this will be in Metairie? Trying to decide if me and SO need to leave for my buddies house in Destin.
I mean any excuse to go to Destin is valid, but evacuating for a Cat 1 is pretty soft IMHO.

It's all about trends. The trends say East it goes. Stronger systems always tick East.

The cone shrinks as uncertainty decreases.

He's not just evacuating a cat 1. Haven't you heard fema says cat 2 minimum, , talks of RI blowing this thing up. It's gonna keep shifting east so expect a NOLA Landfall.
Sarcasm for those who aren't following the current wishcasters.

Love working storms....we have meetings about meetings for the storm then we run around trying to quickly get shite done....then we will have a meeting about being more efficient for the next storm.

It’s been so long since we’ve had a real storm I think there are going to be a whole lot of trees down and roofs tested
