Wind is blowing its arse off in Mandeville. Was about to go to bed and now I’m standing on the back patio

Ditto. Had just dozed off on the couch when I had a big limb fall out back and now I'm jacked back up and pacing again

I don’t own an umbrella

But she finally went while the rain lightened up briefly. So I’m good for the night now

Made one and started getting drunk. Trying to sober up since I may work 7am but if not I’d make another to ride another hour out

Just lost power in Mandeville. I was sleeping good for about an hour despite the wind but the power going out woke me up. Damn.

Lost power at 1130, and I'm irrationally angry. We made it so far.

Just got power back around 30 minutes ago in the indelible construct of the holy city of St. George

The infrastructure here is truly amazing!

We were never in real danger. If there was I'd never have left the house. I've been watching this storm shift ever eastward for days now

I must say I absolutely love buried power lines because we didn't lose electricity.

I had mine until about 6:30 which is crazy because the way it was blowing we should have lost it much sooner.

I see wayyyyyyy too many buried fault issues to say that is the solution. Nothing is foolproof. And You are fed overhead at some point and if those lines go down you are out of luck still.

Aerial may go down easier but is easier to locate and fix.

I am not anti buried by any means, but it has its issues and needs more resources to repair.

Silent that has been.
