Seems like it’s getting worse in Metairie.

Underpass on canal 3 or 4 blocks south of 610. Gets someone every flood event.

That has been the trend so far, wind sticking around for quite a while after the main band pushes through.

Damn it. I was hoping that midnight wind spike was not accurate. Guess I'll be staying up later than I originally thought.

We went down around 7:45. It ain’t as bad as Gustav, but it’s kicking arse here. Will be tons of downed trees, busted up fences, and torn up roofs.

I doubt you will see winds that high, but Houma was getting 40+ mph gusts well after they were out of the worst of the rain.

It was wild for sure. I live in University Acres (been here since 1993) and there were trees down everywhere.

We live in Woodland Ridge and you'd think you were in the middle of Clinton or someplace like that looking off my back porch. Trees everywhere.

Thankfully it seems like we dodged the worst of another one. Prayers for those that did not.

It was like that in LC for Delta. Most of rain had stopped but the wind was still gusting to 80-85 mph. This was when LC was in the SW quad.

Especially when every drain is literally pushing water back up through it to help it flood. Jesus.

WBRZ is showing over 60mph for BR after 11pm. Think that's accurate?
