Power is still on in "downtown" Houma

I rode a float in the Krewe of Hercules in 2003 and saw tiddies in Downtown Houma. It was powerful to me at the time.

I expect apologies from the 12 downvoters.

You could be the replacement for the NHC. Make broad claims early on and then make more precise claims only to crawfish back to the broad claims when things don't go as planned.

If the NHC weren't a GOV oufit and had to compete on the private marketplace, they would be 3rd string. Maybe if they weren't obsessed with CLimATe caHnge!! they would be better at their actual jobs. Competition breeds excellence and they have none.

I've said my piece on this and wont any longer. This thread needs to be an information hub for those who are having to deal with the situations we have now.

Franklin is doing a good job explaining "don't panic that it says 100 mph but also don't go drive to McDonald's"

Agree but damn near every model was closer to houma than morgan city and they havent really budged since 4pm yesterday Doesnt really matter for prep but just odd to me on their rationale for that

I guess we’ve all learned a lot here.
But it ain’t been us teaching Boat, hell, Boat’s been teaching us.

people see cat 1 vs cat 2 (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FORECASTED TO STRADDLE THIS LINE THE WHOLE TIME) and panic/overreact when it gets to 2 like this

It shows you how easy it is to manipulate people.

Convert a granular, meaningful, measure like mph to a meaningless, broad category and people fall apart.
