This cane’s been wobbling due north for a bit now

Robust chunk of eyewall on the North side now. Interesting.

What kind of winds are MC/Houma seeing right now.
MC has been pretty moderate but if it's going to get dicey it will be in the next half hour or so.

Strongest gusts yet here now. Probably 45 or so. Makes sense with center almost due west of me by about 70 miles.

Because to them it sounds cool. No way from the feed I’m watching in Houma that they’re getting anything near 100 mph.
Power is still on in "downtown" Houma

Like I've said a couple times, people eventually learn in their own way that wind forecasting is little more than guesswork.

Because hurricane hunters found 100 mph winds. Doesn't mean structure wise it's like that widespread.

Taking a look at some accumulation numbers. Nola has a ways to go to reach that 15-20” Zack promised

Why do they keep reporting Cat 2 with 100 mph winds? Every station showing 55 winds with 60 gusts. There are NO 100 mph winds.
The NHC goes out and tries to find the strongest winds in the storm.
The fixed locations read what they read. The chances of the two lining up are very slim.
