Oil platform just south of the eye of #Francine is confirming the wind speeds that aircraft recon recorded this afternoon- sustained winds of 92mph and gusts to 112mph occurring! This is a very dangerous storm that will make landfall in #Louisiana soon. #LAwx #NOLA #hurricane

I don't ever recall being told I needed to prepare for snowfall.

... In all seriousness though, I'll just go ahead and ask... What's the radar doing/ detecting here?

Dammit Louisiana......

A) It's possible that local LEO took it down not knowing what it was

B) It's Amelia, so, yeah, that was probably going to happen if the LEO didn't get it first.

Starting to rain a little harder and the winds are getting gustier in beautiful St. George.

I'm not worried though. I feel very confident in St George's time-tested emergency response procedures if shite really hits the fan.

Highly unlikely. They've had those same setups survive 100mph+ winds regularly.

That's two hour old data. 102 ft up and over water.. which makes a difference.

Looks like the eastern eye wall has become the strongest part of the eye while the formerly strong western eye wall has weakened considerably.
