That NW/SW convection is starting to fade a bit. Lightning has subsided and the cloud tops have warmed on satellite. I think she's giving up the ghost as far as any chance of getting worse goes.

Never thought about it. I honestly never knew kraken was popular. Told my wife to get me some rum a couple years back, she brought that home, I bitched about it cause it wasn’t capt morgan, then quickly realized my mistake when I realized kraken was ten times better

I’m probably in La La Land here, but I always had the feeling that Entergy affirmatively shuts off the power right before these storms hit; for safety reasons in case of dangling live wires.
I don’t even know if they have the “power” to do that. But it seems like the power goes off when the winds aren’t that bad yet.
