This aggregate parameter is the sum of 33 individual weighted parameters, ranging from mandatory pressure level winds, temperature and moisture, to CAPE and vertical shear. Typical ranges of values were established for each parameter in association with significant tornado (EF2+) events, and a numerical weight of 0-3 was assigned to each parameter. If all parameters are consistent with historical EF2+ tornado events, the CWASP total will reach a maximum value of 99. The majority of EF2+ tornadoes have occurred with CWASP values above about 70.

What does this mean in English?

Hopefully, for us, it does not take the Fox8 turn they have been talking about.

Fox is being incredibly misleading with this storm track. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I’m not sure, because the one thing I’ve been worried about this whole time was tornados. The only word I understand in that whole paragraph is ‘tornado’ but the rest might as well be Latin because I have no fricking clue

Idk how it will play out this time around but Windy has typically been shite for tropical systems as I recall.

They aren’t far off. If the current track stands it should make landfall between Morgan City and Houma

There are about 6000 people w/o power just west of causeway SOUTH of west esplanade already... Hardly any rain or wind...
According to the weather channel we are not supposed to get out of the 70's today and the wind is not getting over 40MPH...

ETA.. Correction in bold

My wife thinks 50 mph winds are 200 mph winds

Might be my fault that her sense of measurement is off
