I have a feeling the FL parishes and coastal MS will be whacked harder by this than most folks out here are thinking.

Particularly the tornado threat

Radar makes it seem like the eye is trying to tighten up on the north end. It’s not going to really ever get going (which is fine by me) until/if it tights up the eye.

Looks like the model on NOAA jumped from the west side of Essen on advisory #008 to the East side on advisory #009 if you zoom in on the interactive maps

This is the first storm I've ever experienced in BR. Do yall think that they will temporarily close the new and old bridges due to wind? Is that a thing?

Just take the loop. You will be fine.

Yeah, the tornado threat being higher in that area is pretty much a given.

A red one or a blonde one?

There is a difference.

The 4pm track moved probably 5 miles. We are 24 hours to landfall. I don’t except more than 5-10 mile changes at a time. It’s going between Patterson and Morgan City

Surge pushing north. Rivers draining south. Cantore may need a pirogue on the lakefront when it's all said and done.
the surge on the lakefront with the storm coming in just west of the lake will make for some decent storm surge over that tiny seawall there. Can definitely hype it up right there if that’s where he’s hanging out. I lost my house bc of the surge a couple blocks up from the lakefront right there during Ida. Ground was so overly saturated with the lake floodwaters that a huge arse oak tree in my yard was completely uprooted and cut my house in half.

If 18z models are similar to 12z they will bump it to just east of Morgan City at 10
