There is really no other choice for the schools but why hasn't the state stepped in with a hurricane 24 hours away from?

You should probably look up the term “sovereign immunity”. And chill. The schools should give parents more leeway in making their own decisions, which includes parents that are teachers.

Don’t have a dog in this battle, but who is already closed Friday? I’ve seen the coastal parishes are either closed today or taking off 1/2 day. Just about everyone is closed tomorrow (which is logical). And a few are closed Thursday, and some are telling parents to be in wait & see mode for Thursday. Haven’t seen a Friday yet

I hope that my residents at the nursing home don’t realize what’s going on lol. Better yet, I hope that the roof holds up .. already in need of repairs.
