I'll help.
Chauna Banks, a lady who needs no introduction, but in case you forgot, she's the one that promoted FEMA and computer software fraud
Lamont Cole, no relation to Lamont Sanford
Erika Green, don't misspell my name with a "c."
Ladies and Gentlemen of Baton Rouge, I present to you your 2018 Baton Rouge Metro City Council.

Don't even think about questioning them. They have no comment. And don't even think that the color of race has anything to do with this. If you do, you're the one that is discriminating.

Ladies and Gentlemen of Baton Rouge, I present to you your 2018 Baton Rouge Metro City Council.

Four Metro Council members, all African-American Democrats, will collectively abstain from voting to fill late Councilman Buddy Amoroso’s District 8 vacancy next week. Their decision was announced in a terse, two-sentence press release this afternoon.
quote:
That means the seven remaining members must vote unanimously to appoint Amoroso’s successor in a district that’s overwhelmingly Republican. If they fail to reach an agreement, state law dictates the decision then goes to Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat.
The four councilmembers—Chauna Banks, LaMont Cole, Erika Green and Donna Collins-Lewis—gave no reason for their decision, saying in the release, “We will make no further comment on this matter at this time.”
Councilwoman Tara Wicker, also a Democrat, was not part of the statement and does not appear to be participating in the abstention.

Dude used to go to the Chimes and order his wings fried, dipped in the sauce, then fried again.
It was awesome until the managers threw a fit about what it did to the fryer.

I searched on here before I posted. I didn't think to look in the Political Board because topics like these, while political in nature, have been allowed to stay on this forum for the most part.

As shady as it is...that's a really smart political move on their part.
Someone had to have helped them come up with that strategy because they aren't smart enough to think of it on their own. I smell SWB receiving a call from the state democratic office and passing it along...

I didn't say it got any better. At least I don't know the ineptitude of Nola, yet, besides the mayor.
Hopefully my next job will get me the frick out of LA.

I agree. Local BR and NOLA politics should be allowed on the OT. Political talk should be for state and national politics
