I went to high school with a girl that was 2 years older than her aunt that went to same high school. Had sex with both, but unfortunately not at the same time. Her mom was fine AF too.

***Update...The girl I'm seeing was on the phone all day yesterday with the church elders trying to figure out how we were related. Everyone was telling her that we were related but no one could say how. She finally got in touch with our retired pastor. He was able to say how we were related. He said that my great uncle, my grandfather's brother, was married to her great grandmother. I wasn't even gonna try figure out how were we related after that. It was so far down the line that it didn't matter to me. We are moving forward with our relationship.

1. I cannot believe you came back to this thread an updated it. Well done. I'll get some ecred out and send it your way.

2. If you think the awkwardness is over, just wait until your wedding doubles as a family reunion and you get to watch and listen to "both sides" of your families catch up

You got bigger problems than boning your cousin, just wtf are “church elders”... sounds like the start to a B drama/suspense flick on lifetime

I’m assuming this is a troll thread but I hope not

Your update makes it deplorable. I am very close with my great uncles family. A few I consider as close as a sibling

At least you'll be keeping your family bloodline pure when you knock up your cousin.

It’s the same relationship as was determined yesterday. The only difference is that it’s your dad that is first cousins with her grandmother instead of your mom.

I assume that while married, those two had children together, right?

And by "great uncle," you mean "great great" or just great? Because a great grandmother is one above your grandmother but a great uncle is only one above your parent. So a great grandmother is your girl's mother/father's grand parent but your great uncle is your mother/father's uncle.

A great uncle might be as young as twice your age or up to 50-70 years older. I think you would be aware of this person and who they were married to.

So I'm going to assume great-great uncle and great-grandmother.

According to this chart,I think we can say that you are third cousins.

That's not illegal and it's most likely not going to cause birth defects when you have kids.

But you're probably not going to be welcomed at the family get togethers any more. Ick.

Have sex with her a few times then tell her afterwards you just found out you're related.

Easy way out of it

to be fair, if you live in a small town, you're probably related to everyone. By town, i mean area with population less than 50k and a place where you and s/o are at least 3 generations deep
