I was dropping my daughter off at daycare this morning. The daycare parking lot conects to a large public park parking lot. The public park's lot is empty since its 7 am, but I see a ball glove on the ground by a parking spot. Knowing a bit about baseball, I recognize it's at least a $250 dollar glove. So I stop and confirm. Called the wife. She's suggested taking it and she's posting it missing on Facebook, but I'm starting to feel bad some kid is going to go back looking for his glove.

What's your thoughts? Keep it at our house with a notice out, since it's more likely some other kid would just find it and keep it (original reason for picking it up). Or should I have left it. It's a $330 glove after looking up the particular model. Hate to think of the kid getting an arse chewing from his parents for leaving it there, haha.

Have your wife post it on Facebook (as found, not for sale). Some kid will be very unhappy that he lost his A2K.

Is it a park where games happen often? Go on game night and turn it in at the concession stand.

It's probably Bryndon's practice glove. Wouldn't be surprised if he has 2 more just like it in his gear bag.

Post a sign at the park, not with the pic. Tell them to call or text for you to return. They should be able to describe color/size/date

Not a baseball park, they do have fields people practice and throw in. There's a neighborhood facebook page she's posting it on. Not putting a description other than A2000. Figure tons of people may claim it, haha. Let them describe and we'll hand it over b

Bring it to the daycare connected to the parking lot. If my kid lost a glove at a park, the first thing I would think to do is ask any businesses connected to the park if anyone saw the glove.

Jaxson is never going to make it D1 without that overpriced glove.

No question. I would be in the majors today if if weren't for my parents making me use by brother's hand-me-down "Wade Boggs" signed Rawlings glove

Post a video of you taking grounders with it on.

Also, try contacting the public park. Maybe someone has called inquiring about their missing glove.

Thanks for ruining Jaeden's dreams of becoming a pro ball player. You should be ashamed.

This has to be a high school kids glove based on size (11.75" infielders glove that seems to fit a larger hand). Also going to reach out to someone we know who's kid is on the high school team. Wife also knows a few people who work for the parks system, so we'll let them know.

Gear a drift is a gift. It was going to get taken so enjoy it. Kid will probably get his arse beat and learn a lesson.
