It's honestly pretty clear what happens. These women were not sought after in high school, and when they return as teachers, they are dimes by simply being older than high schoolers and younger than the majority of faculty. They are inserted into the same environment with a complete change in how they are viewed, and they become the skanks they criticized while they were in school.

This is ALMOST the premise of Chad Powers, except instead of reliving glory days as a football star, these teachers are just banging teenage boys.
