I've never agreed with the man politically and I'm thankful he's out of politics. I believe he hurt our country- and I do not forgive him for that.

But the human side of me wishes him the best with this and sincerely hopes they can keep him comfortable. Cancer is a cruel disease as anyone who's seen its results up close knows, all too well.

Cancer doesn't give a damn about politics- and is the enemy of us all.

Correction, that's active surveillance.

Pretty sure I was correct:

Reading all the replies it seems there is no individual who has ever drawn breath that many of you would not wish well if they were afflicted by a particular ailment. Some people deserve their fate.

That's a pretty big claim Obama is making. What specifically has Joe done that would earn him this amazing title?

Yes. I can comfortably say, for the sake of the Korean people, I hope the entire Kim dynastic succession gets cancer.

The wild thing is that many of the comments on here are conciliatory and respectful, even for someone many disagree with.

On Reddit, if they same thing was posted about Trump, they'd be celebrating and dancing and making the foulest comments

That place is a hivemind in a cesspool.

Cancer is terrible. Prayers for Joe.

That said, interesting timing since Tapper’s book dropped. Every damn Democrat covered up his dementia and now taking major heat. This revelation is quite the redirection.

This.

I hope he can recover somehow and have a good remainder of his life.

But, Dems were willing to do anything to stay in power…even threaten the country with a president incapable of doing his job.

And intentionally overrun/overwhelm it with illegals. Definitely a different thread but how Mayorkas, and whomever was directing him, weren't brought up on treason charges is beyond me.

82 with cancer that's spread? My dad had pancreatic cancer diagnosis at 83 and lasted 6 weeks. Don't wish this on anyone.

So it’s basically a death sentence? What are odds of him beating it?

Seems like last year or so Biden blurted out he had cancer.

I don’t think this was just discovered, I think he’s had it for a while. And I agree, the timing is odd

Beating it (as in cured) are probably 0 since it has metastasized.

But there is a good chance that they can treat it to slow the progression and give him a little longer life and a better quality of life than doing nothing or just keeping him comfortable.

I'm not telling anyone else how to think. That's up to them. I can certainly understand others having a different opinion when it comes to this...He's no angel.

Didn't realize that's how you get cancer. Learn something new everyday on the OT.

Cute, you posted a definition and still don't understand the difference.

Active surveillance is planned blood tests and biopsies to defer treatment/side effects until definitive treatment is warranted. This is what that guy described with PSA testing and repeat biopsy.

Watchful waiting is what you posted, doing nothing until symptoms occur, and more or less letting it run its course and treat for symptoms as needed. This is not what that guy described.

We do not have a cure for metastatic prostate cancer, but we can manage it fairly well. A lot of the prognosis depends on the degree of spread and labs at time of diagnosis, which we don't know.
