I don't think he was ever claiming any of this. OP said he liked the Raptor compared to other F150 trims because the other trims had ugly grills and too much chrome. So SprintFun suggested adding on Raptor styled accessories (grill, bumper, fender flares, etc) to fix OP's dislike of the chrome and front ends on non-Raptor F150s

Shh, don't help me, let him figure it out on how own if he can.

Anybody with the kind of $ you supposedly have shouldn't need help from a bunch of online nobodies to make a decision on a new vehicle purchase.

I love that you're being condescending while making a hilariously stupid and wasteful suggestion. Never change.

Anyway, a raptor isn't that much more when I'm comparing it to the Limited F150s . (same engine)

what are your thoughts on people who lift their jeep wrangers and put big tires and beefy steel bumpers on them?

ETA: Raptor is basically that done to a normal F150

What is the wet weight of the boat you want to tow? The issue of towing a boat on a Raptor isn't power but gearing and the soft suspension. I wouldn't recommend it.

probably in the 5-6 range

I'm looking at some used 24' bays. (tidewater, sea hunt, sportsman, sea born, etc.)
i tow our 26' offshore baot with my raptor. so the range you are guesses wont exceed it. People just see the 6.2 liter engin and thing it can tow like a 250. and as the previous poster said, the suspension is soft for making jumps in sand dunes.

Spending $20k on an XLT just to make it look like a Raptor means you should just buy the fricking Raptor.
Except it would only cost a little over $1000. $300 for the grill, $500 for the bumper and $250 for the fender flares.

I actually drive a jeep wrangler, and I think it's pretty stupid to put all that bullshite on your vehicle, the Raptor feels like the white Oakley's of the vehicle world.

ETA: I did learn something from this thread, for some reason I always thought Raptors were more expensive than they are.

That won't look like a Raptor.

MSRP on a stripped down, I guess. I've never seen a raptor on a lot for less than $70K, and I see lots of limited in the $60's.
