More money?
Better Health?
What changed?
Do you still get cravings at certain moments during the day?

Quitting smoking is probably better than quiteing smoking.

I'm not sure about smokers, but there are a lot of flamers on this board

I quit almost three years ago, I did not notice the money. I do wake up feeling better and do not have phlegm issues in the morning any more.
I also don't smell like an ashtray any longer.

Got fat at first but lost the weight. I dont get sick nearly as often with colds and such. Very happy I quit.

How did you handle drinking while trying to quit?
I guess you just have to look it in the eye and deal with it.

That alone is the best thing you could have done for yourself and those around you. I was on a flight last week and the dude next to me stunk like a week old ashtray. Was seriously disgusting. I dont think smokers really know how bad they smell until they quit.

Extra $20-30 a week to spend on blackjack and hookers instead of cigarettes

My clothes and car stopped smelling like smoke

That only lasted 2-3 weeks after quitting...just had candy and snacks on hand to help with cravings.

Money is a huge motivator.
$7 a pack, smoke 5 packs a week, thats $5460 after three years

At first drinking is difficult it will take two or three times before it gets easier. The thing no one told me was that when you first quit your urges are strong and last about 5 minutes, which is a long time. It gets better when the urges only last a minute or so and are not nearly as strong.
It definitely gets easier after the first 2-3 weeks

My BIL smokes and I never realized how much I smelt until I quit and it is awful

My health would be a bigger motivator than money if I smoked

I used chantix and it took less than two weeks to quit. I like you thought the first time I go out drinking I'm gonna smoke but what chantix does is make you hate smoke so it wasnt a problem.
