For some reason, the quality of the OT has gone up recently.

There are some interesting posts, personal stories (true or not), people seeking advice for strange scenarios, a nice babe thread here and there and some decent "news or the weird" stuff from time to time. Even some good historical, military and science/space threads once in awhile.
The political and racial stuff seems to have slacked off somewhat.
Is the OT at the inception of a renaissance? Or is it just the dog days on the Rant till practice starts, and the MTV board is slow because of the late summer doldrums, etc.?
Kinda like old times on here. A good quality WYHI thread from time to time and maybe the occasional WOWYHI thread and things would be pretty good here. Oh, and a nostalgia "when you were young" thread would be great.
