You have to be a blue haired liberal or 400 pounds

Is that Ju-Co scolly really worth it?

These responses are hilarious. People are so uneducated. Creatine is fine when taken at recommend doses. It is by far the most studied supplement on the planet.

You don't know what's really in the container. Tons of supplements contain crap besides what you think you're getting.

Get on that shite and young baws nuts will shrink and he’ll look like Randy Savage by 17.

He'll be fine. The biggest thing for wrestling is the diet. You can eat plenty to end up at a healthy weight. Often times people just push to be as light as possible, but then they are weak. Mom's would just feel bad for their kids and make a huge meal that they can't turn down. When they could have just made them scrambled eggs and bacon like crazy. They don't need all the mashed potatoes and rolls.

Creatine seems like it would actually be be counterintuitive to wrestling. Just eat well, don’t binge on Sundays, and make your calories count.

Kid is a wrestler, not a powerlifter. He is going to lose 3-5 lbs of water weight per workout. The biggest issue with creatine is it requires a tremendous amount of water intake and retention.

Yeah, carrying extra water weight, right?

Gee Jr asked about it. I knew he'd hate the taste of the creatine, and I don't really mind the preworkout protein based stuff. Either way, I ordered both. He never finished either container. I bet if I'd said no he would've just taken his friends stuff. Now he's not even worried about it.

OP
Just make sure your kid is eating 1g per pound of bodyweight of protein and he won’t need supplements.
Creatine would be fine, but when I’ve used it I’ve found it only adds water weight, so I don’t waste money on it anymore.
Regardless, most people want to jump on supplements before they correct their diet

Just give it a year or two. He'll start taking SARMS or some other shite that you don't know about

Nothing wrong with creatine monohydrate. 5mg a day while drinking water throughout the day.
I will say that supplementation is the last 5% of results. The icing on the cake.
More important is consistent training, eating sufficient calories/protein, and sleep.
Most teenage athletes just aren’t eating enough. Get him eating eggs, beef, chicken, rice, and vegetables. Good protein sources and nutritious foods. He probably needs to eat more than he is right now if he’s wanting to get bigger.
Also sleep for recovery is huge. He needs minimum 8 hours of sleep every night. Most teenagers keep themselves busy and skip sleep. Have him turn off his cellphone before going to bed.

Thanks for the advice guys, OT actually came through…
No way I would put him on anything without consulting one of his docs….
Really appreciate it guys, thanks again.

Creatine is fine. I'd probably be focusing on diet plus a serving of protein powder to see how he responds. Then by 16 see about creatine. But creatine taken in the recommended amount is not going to hurt him. Not eating crap at that age will be difficult, but will serve him well.

Everybody took creatine in highschool. I still take creatine today at 33. Never a problem. It's known for having plenty of side benefits...brain focus, skin fortification against UV rays...but I still just use it for lifting.
I am taking creatine for spring break.

My kid is weird for a 14 y/o.. He doesn’t eat the school lunches because he thinks they’re bad, not as in bad tasting, but bad for you. He doesn’t drink soft drinks, sticks to water and Gatorade. He brings salads to school, with cheese and cheese sticks, with chicken.
He rarely eats fast food except for the occasional Chic Fil A or Subway. Only burger he eats is Bud’s Broiler.
He has a twin sister, we convinced them when they were young they hated McDonald’s
