Tommy went to Belaire; maybe there's another Tommy C that grew up near Ponderosa but I doubt it. Besson and Robin boys from that area went to Belaire, too.

Go speak with the chefs at the CBC Galley in Gulfport; they'll give you step-by-step instructions on how to screw up a taco.

So a drug bust was worth a child's life? They shot into the vehicle and then chased an injured person through a residential area who was clearly then going to speed away? I am sick over the death of this kid but it's clear we need to re-examine protocols and whether lives are a good exchange for an arrest. How was this worth it?

There a sliding scale on what crimes people can do before pursuit is warranted, Gravy?

Because the kind of person who runs from the cops is usually going to be responsible for a lot more shite than whatever they are being chased for.

Not Gravy, but the sentiment is the same.

I just find it absurd that they completely skip over the fact that the guy running from the cops killed this kid.

I lived on Ponderosa for years going to college. I've been trying to get my Dad to move from there for years. Place is a shithole now, especially after the flood.

Face it, there is nothing the police can do that will ever make the public happy. They will always be second guessed and ridiculed for acting or lack of action. It's a no win situation.

Yep.

BRPD ranks are going to be gutted over the next few years

There was cops pulling everyone over yesterday. State troopers had a Section of O'Neal closed, three units had one pulled over on cloud, I think there was a citywide narcotics sting operation/dragnet going on yesterday

i was wondering why BRPD was out there. That area is Sheriffs area. Unless there was some sort of joint task force.

A mayor concerned with constantly demonizing LE, a new police chief under the mayor's direct orders, and activist judges like Trudy White who have pledged to let criminals go free is going to be a lethal combination for BR residents.

The dude that got shot must have done something really fricked up. Baton Rouge Cops are virtually on strike now. One would have to almost volunteer to get shot.
