I do too. It’s a horrible situation. People will lose jobs, businesses, etc. and it’s completely out of their control.
But people (I’m not talking about you) who keep blathering on about “gub’ment takings and this is America they can’t do this blah blah blah” with little to no knowledge of the law are starting to drive me nuts.
Maybe I’m just going insane from being cooped up.

Know, you people know less about Nazis than I do, and I don’t know shite compared to people who actually lived through that crap, but I find it insulting as hell to people who endured that crap to compare a reaction (perhaps even overreaction) to a pandemic to the freakin Nazis who slaughtered millions upon millions of people in their lust for supreme power. The federal government derives the overwhelming majority of it's ability to ignore the Constitution and seize power from the States from the every-expanding Commerce Clause.

No. But you could argue that parts of the code written after the Constitution are unconstitutional. Saying something is constitutional by pointing out part of the US Code is pointless.

Though, states were theoretically able to be all over the place on the control spectrum at the founding, so them having wide latitude here doesn't surprise me too much.
Well, except for the fact the places they don't have wide latitude anymore is completely politically driven in my view, and not based on the original intention, but I digress.
I just want out of my house too.
The meme where a guy asks another if he wants to go to the DMV, then jury duty, then a first grade concert and the other guy responds "frick ya!" is very true for me now.
