But you had no reliable data to back that up. Just wishful thinking and what China told us.
At this time you have no reliable data that blanket shutdown policy will be a positive going forward.
It's a reaction based on panic.

you have to make a tough call.
The tough calls cost some people their livelihood which took years of hard work. It's probably no big deal to those unaffected.
The social and economic cost of this authoritarian action will be long remembered, and hopefully on election days.
I remember when everyone feared that Trump was an authoritarian, now they're praying he is and bashing him for not being more authoritarian.

NOLA exploded almost overnight, did it not?
And so you agree that the political reactions were based on fear.
I'm firmly in the camp that we don't need to shut small business down, just take ample precaution.

And what if we were told by a TD poster (OweO) that hospitals were overrun and when pressed for an example, that poster (Oweo) said Earl K Long. A hospital that has been closed for almost 7 years. Oooof.

You said the spread rate is down now. Why isn’t everything cranking up tomorrow?

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a post with such a high upvote/ downvote total that is so close.

The Mexican joint there connected to the motel closed a few years ago. Wasn’t half bad either. :csb: Hope you are doing well, Roger.
