Your delivery was off, but honestly I'm with you with the idiots that think Dallas is the end all be all... place sucks... seriously would take a shite ton of dollars to get me to move there, and there are a very few neighborhoods in central Dallas I'd even consider moving to.

What's funny is 90% of the Dallas champions on here live in the god damn burbs

I lived in Baton Rouge my whole life until I moved to Houston five years ago. I still love home, but I can say without a doubt that traffic in BR is 100x more frustrating than Houston.

At least if there's a wreck or bad traffic in Houston I have about 57 other highways I can take to get where I need to go. In BR I have I-10, Airline, and a bunch of surface streets.

I don't think anyone here that champions Dallas believes it's the end all be all. In fact, I'd believe most don't however the opportunities in the DFW area far outweigh those of any city in Louisiana. If New Orleans could get it's shite together, we'd be there in a heart beat. No way would I have my child in a New Orleans area school.

I champion the DFW area not Dallas proper. Who's all those folks rolling into Baton Rouge from such places as Gonzales, Denham, Port Allen, etc? How about New Orleans...folks rolling in from different burbs, too?

This is absolutely true. All of the BR area growth is happening in Ascension, Livingston, Central and Zachary. NOLA is mostly on the Northshore.

Also, speaking of the burbs, where do you think you're going to put 7 million people?

Combining state income tax and property tax, I would pay at least double in New Orleans what I pay here. Keep bringing your lack of knowledge.

Depends on where you live and LA income tax is about the same as property tax, depending on how much you make. Property tax on a 200k home will be less than income tax on a 200k/year salary.

I don't know what's worse, this thread or the threads where a new college grad asks what area of a city to live in and a bunch of whipped 50 year olds suggest the suburbs.

What a dumbass, ignorant OP. The traffic in BR is worse than Dallas, and there are actually places worth going around here. Cost of living is less in TX than the ridiculously overpriced housing prices of livable NO and BR areas.

I grew up and love LA, but i don't miss it.

here's the truth of the thing. The people who start the BR/NOLA sucks thread are usually people who live there.

Ive not seen many if any Texas sucks threads started by anyone that actually lives here
