A few years ago, At 45, I went back to college to take some classes.

This Gen-xer outworked and out preformed almost every millennial in the class. They called me "the curve buster". They were pretty difficult classes with a similar difficult reputations (I took a series of Human Anatomy/Microbiology/Physiology). When the professor asked us "Why we were taking the class", none of them could believe me when I said, "Just for fun..."

None of the "kids" in their realize how much easier they have it than when my generation went to school. First, all of your notes are handed to you when you walk in the classroom. Second, your professors lecture is recorded and you can listen back to it later online. Third you have so many online study tools that just weren't available 30 years ago.

True story: wife, age 50, works with a bunch of millennials.
She's the only one that is willing to go back to the office next week when it reopens again
