Nah. The boycott people only boycott when it's something that isnt inconvenient to them. They wouldn't boycott dicks if there wasnt an academy up the road. They'll get bored and start watching again.

I haven't watched more than maybe 3 full games since 2017.
Watched a little at families house during Thanksgiving.

About half my family is the same. I know many others like us.
I really think this will be the tipping point for many others.

By January, you'll be complaining the Saints were robbed again.

More people watched NFL games last year than ever before. Over 16 million a game, but sure man

Sports used to be something that brought people, especially men together. It was an escape and common bond across all demographics.

There’s a real possibility people will want to turn to football more than ever in the Fall as a distraction and a sign of normalcy after the last few months.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if a large percentage are chased away immediately because of all the controversy.

People are starving for sports, but they are also more aware than ever that they can live without it.

I don’t think boycotting is the issue. I think it is lack of interest.

These athletes seem to be ungrateful for the jobs they have. The majority of the popularity of sports comes from the fact that the fans wish they could be doing what the pros do, they just aren’t good enough. The veil has been lifted and these guys are trying to tell the masses how to think. Hell even the college kids are doing it, some of which are maybe 19 years old and spent 2-3 years being recruited by big time programs. It’s not going over well with a lot of people, many of which are the core fans that breed more fans like dads.

Is it over? No. But I think it is a very real possibility we see a shift in popularity this season.

I hope it is. They all want to make a statement. Let them, and let them lose the one thing they can make a living from.
